Our Story
Founded in 2023, Twavwane Farms is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for underprivileged youth and farmers in Malawi. Based on the outskirts of Mzuzu City, our mission is to foster self-sufficiency and create lasting economic opportunities through a unique, sustainable pig farming model. We are a registered entity with the Malawi Revenue Authority, committed to transparency and community-driven development.
How our sustainable model works
Communities form clubs, and we provide free, comprehensive training in pig pen construction, modern farming, feed production, and management.
Seed funding with piglets
We loan high-quality piglets to clubs and individuals at no cost, giving them the essential “seed” to start their own enterprise.
What we offer
Investing in quality and community while our primry focus is empowerment, the success of high-quality, ethically raised pork.
Quality Weaners and breeding stock
We supply healthy, vaccinated piglets to our beneficiary clubs to start their enterprises.
Future Supply of pork
As our farmer's herds grow, Twavwane Farms will act as a market link, offering competitive prices for their well-raised pigs, ensuring they get afair return on their hard work.

We offer our expertise and successful empowerment model to organisations and constituencies looking to replicate this impact.
